Instructions
The French Butter Dish, originated in 19th century France, as a solution for keeping butter soft without refrigeration.

Allow your full fat butter to soften.

Compact the butter into the lid to the top.

Add cold water to the base approximately a 1/4 or one half inch.

Place the lid gently into the base.

The water will create a air tight seal, preventing oxygen from reaching the butter.

Store your butter on the counter top.

For best results and to maintain freshness change the water every 2-3 days.

The Butter is ready to use immediately. when you need some, simply lift the lid out of the base, use the butter, and place the lid back into the base.
Care Instructions
All items are dishwasher safe, although you may prefer to handwash.
